The Roof Walkway is designed to prevent and direct any traffic on the roofing system – for safety, convenience and maintenance support. It is specifically designed to be installed directly on the roof without penetrations, flashings, or damage to the roofing system.

Roof Ramps

The Roof Ramp is designed to attain access to all areas on the roof that may be obstructed by piping, ducting or equipment. It is specifically designed to be installed directly on the roof without penetrations, flashings, or damage to the roofing material.

Roof Stairs

The Roof Stairs are designed to access different levels of roofs and equipment that may be out of reach. It is specifically designed to be installed directly on the roof without penetrations, flashings, or damage to the roofing material.

Roof Crossovers

The Roof Crossover is designed to provide access to areas on the roof that may be obstructed by Piping, Ducting or Equipment. It is specifically designed to be installed directly on the roof without penetrations, flashings, or damage to the roofing material.

PHP Walkway Installation

Before Installation:

  1. Determine spacing of substructures.
  2. Sweep loose gravel away, if gravel exists.
  3. Isolation pads:
    • Must be compatible with existing roof or new roof system being installed, (check with manufacturer).
    • Need not be adhered to roofing membrane.
  4. Alignment of substructures:
    • Splice Assembly – Used to join one 20’ span of planking to another.
    • Straight Assembly – Intermediate support between splices. The quantity will depend on the weight to be supported and distributed.
    • Corner Assembly – Can be right or left turn.
  5. Handrails:
    • If handrails are required, the hardware for attaching said handrail will have been installed at the factory, and the intermediate rail will have been cut to size.
    • For ease of installation, the top handrail will come in 20’ lengths.

Installation:

  1. Place appropriate isolation pads in place.
  2. Place bases on isolation pads and insert legs of substructures.
  3. Lay out planking, make whatever minor adjustments are needed, (spacing of substructures to accommodate the intermediate handrail, if required) and install hold-downs.
  4. Place the handrails on top of the factory-installed hardware and secure with channel nuts and hex head cap screws.

PHP Ramp Installation

  1. Layout isolation pads according to footprint of ramp.
  2. Place bases on top of isolation pads.
  3. Insert legs of substructures into bases.
  4. Place grating for ramp landing on 1-5/8” Channel of each set of substructures.
  5. Attach grating to 1-3/4” B-B channel with hold-down clip.
  6. Set intermediate handrails on intermediate brackets and attach with 1” bolt and 1/2" spring nut.
  7. Set top handrail on top brackets and attach with 1” bolt and 1/2” spring nut.
  8. Tighten all nuts, bolts and hold-downs.

  4. Form stairs by placing planking between each set of substructures, attaching with hold-down clips.
  5. Set intermediate handrails on intermediate brackets and attach with 1” bolt and 1/2" spring nut.
  6. Set top handrail on top brackets and attach with 1” bolt and 1/2” spring nut.
  7. Tighten all nuts, bolts and hold-downs.
